Carrying Fred Rogers’ Legacy Forward in the Digital Age

The Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media at Saint Vincent College and the Technology in Early Childhood (TEC) Center at Erikson Institute are pleased to announce the release of the highlights from a forthcoming research report Technology and Interactive Media for Young Children: A Whole Child Approach Connecting the Vision of Fred Rogers with Research and Practice authored by Dr. Katie Paciga and Dr. Chip Donohue. The highlights included in Carrying Fred Rogers’ Message Forward in the Digital Age provide key findings and actionable steps to support whole child development based on Fred Rogers’ six principles of learning readiness.

Dr. Paciga is the first Fred Rogers Center-TEC Center Early Career Research Fellow. Her work summarizes research focused on technology, media, and child development since 2011, just prior to the release of the National Association for the Education of Young Children-Fred Rogers Center joint position statement.
