Symposia, Conferences, & Other Meetings

In addition to organizing its own national meetings for communication and field building in early learning, early childhood development, and children’s media, the Rogers Center presents its work at conferences and meetings of other organizations and groups.

March 2010

“2010 Fred Forward:  Creative Curiosity, New Media, and Learning”
Fred Rogers was the genius who understood that learning begins at the very earliest stages of a young child’s development and that media, when intentionally designed and appropriately used, have extraordinary potential to support learning and development.

The 2010 Fred Forward conference built upon Fred’s legacy by providing a forum for thought leadership on new programs, research, and policy to advance the potential of technology and new media for nurturing a young child’s natural curiosity as foundational for learning.  This invited convening of experts launched the new Fred Forward conference series intended to promote the quality and values embodied in Fred Rogers’ life and career.
