About Fred Forward
Founded to bridge and build the fields of early learning and children’s media, the Fred Forward Conference brings together researchers, technologists, media creators, educators, and advocates, to explore current and emerging issues impacting the healthy development of children birth to age 8.
The Fred Forward Conference is thinking big by going small. Please join us for an invitation-only symposium to explore and recommend how the Center and other related organizations can extend — or are already succeeding at extending — beyond training educators, in order to reach parents.
Fred Forward will begin on Sunday evening, May 14, and will adjourn mid-day on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Sessions will utilize a variety of formats, including keynote and featured speakers, panel discussions, and “ask the expert” design-thinking discussion groups for addressing complex communications challenges.
When Fred Rogers founded his production company, he named it Family Communications, Inc. because that’s what he wanted to create — healthy family communication. That goal is still essential today as we explore the fundamental question, “How do families live well with media and technology in ways that strengthen and enhance adult-child relationships?”
