Center Priorities
The work of the Fred Rogers Center focuses on three strategic goals.
• Establish the Fred Rogers Archive as an accessible, working collection for promoting quality and generating new thinking in early learning and children’s media.
• Establish the role of the Rogers Center in leadership development for early learning and children’s media.
• Increase awareness, dialogue, and positive change on topics and issues consistent with the mission of the Fred Rogers Center.
These goals are supported by the following programs and activities.
• The multimedia, public Fred Rogers Exhibit
• The Fred Rogers Center Learning Network—an online community of practice for early learning teachers, caregivers, and families
(under development in 2009-2010)
• Fred Forward Conference on Creative Curiosity, New Media, and Learning
• The “Learning Lives” film project
(under development in 2009-2010, in collaboration with Families and Work Institute)
